Welcome to the Trap Discipline!
The shooting game of movement, action and split-second timing!
The Trap Discipline at Redmond Rod & Gun Club hosts the Mountain View Trap Club providing a facility for the youth of not only the students of Mountain View but schools from all of Central Oregon that are interested in trap shooting.
The Club has been active for 4 years beginning with 8 shooters. At present the number of student shooters is 47. The shooters meet at the Trap Discipline 3 days a week, Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday from 9:30 to 12:00. The Middle School groups have practice shoots and the High School shooters have practice shoots and participate in competitions.
Mountain View Trap Club is sponsored by Bend Chapter OHA, Deschutes Arms and Munitions, Pahlisch Homes, Momentum Promo, Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation and Lost Creek Armory as shown on the banner.
Two annual events are also hosted at the Trap Discipline. Thanksgiving Meat Shoot in November and the Christmas Meat Shoot in December. Please refer to the Trap Event page for the specific date and time (generally held the Sunday before the holiday). The shooter purchases 5 tickets for $20.00. There are 5 rounds using 1 ticket per round. There are 3 divisions being beginners (kids and women who have never shot), intermediate, and pro. The shooter rotates through the stations with the highest scores being the winners! Winners select their prize from turkey, ham, bacon, summer sausage and more! A fun time for all!
